WPL Auction 2025 schedule announced: BCCI to organise event in Bengaluru

Weeks after the announcement of the TATA WPL 2025 Player Retention List, the Board of Control for Cricket in India issued a press release stating that the Women’s Premier League auction for the 2025 season will take place at ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru on 15 December.
As per the regulations, the five franchises are permitted to fill a total of 19 slots during the auction, which includes 14 Indian players and 5 international players.
On 7 November, the BCCI had previously disclosed the list of players retained by the franchises.
Following the retention process, the Gujarat Giants have the highest remaining budget of ₹4.40 crore and have 6 slots available for new players.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2025, conducted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 24-25 November, a total of 182 players, including 62 international stars, were sold. The 10 franchises collectively spent ₹639.15 crore during this auction.
